Shhh....
I think we've crossed the potty training bridge with the poop!
Last week, Scott and I had absolutely had it with Tyler and his pooping issues. He'll go DAYS by holding it in, refusing to "let it slide", you know? We've been lacing everything he drinks with Benefiber lately, but that isn't enough. We bought a pediatric laxative, but the taste is apparently really, really gross because my medicine-man will spit it out.
So Sunday, we started Plan Castor Oil.
Oh yes we did. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
I took a teaspoon of Castor Oil and mixed with applesauce. The results?
The next day, Tyler (and I quote from him) "shot a rocket ship out of
Praise to Castor Oil!

C A S T O R O I L spells Castor oil, Castor oil, that's the only decent kind of medicine medicine the man who made it must have been an Edison Edison, C A S T O R O I L you see, it's a lick on a spoon guaranteed to kill you soon, it’s castor oil for me…just call me burpy, castor oil for me….
Fond memories of Girl Scouts!
How great that you found the magic potion for Tyler! He must be so proud of himself. Glad that you've "crossed over". Here's to smooth sailing from here on out!
Well at least he's going in the potty! We have trouble with pooping, its where the poop comes out! I had to throw away yet another pair of nasty underwear! The boy is going to run out before too much longer...then what am I going to do? When we are out, he goes with no problem; its when we are home that he goes in his pants, even when he just sat down on the potty! I'm going to kill this child....well, not really, but figuratively speaking!
Well THAT'S a load off... pun intended!

Yay! Way to go Tyler! I'm glad you finally got him to poo on the potty!
Thanks for the tip! I'll be there in a few months...my 2 1/2 year old may not be so grateful I read this tip, LOL!
Brilliant Mom! Good thinking to mix it in with the applesauce!
I wish you and I had been friends about 5 years ago when my friend M was dealing with this with her oldest son B. Heck, the kid was 8 or 9 and STILL having poop issues.
I just have to add that we did the Castor oil ONCE on Sunday and Tyler has been going on the potty on his own since then. He's like a changed man! YAY!!!
If anyone needs any castor oil, though, I have PLENTY.
YAY! Do what you gotta do, no shame in it. It worked for our grandparents generation didn't it?
Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. Congratulations!
