The Vortex
(all together now!)
RAH RAH RAH!
SIS BOOM BAH!
RAIN TO THE NORTH!
RAIN TO THE SOUTH!
RAIN EVERYWHERE
BUT AT OUR HOUTH!
(sorry, I am in no mood to rhyme this morning...)
Dear Dolly,
First of all, welcome to Texas! I know your arrival has been met with a wide range of emotions, but we, here in Central Texas, were eager for your arrival.
I know you are doing your best to get around and see as many people in the state as you can, but I wanted to let you know that your navigation skills are quite lacking. While I know the people in San Antonio are grateful for your presence there, and the folks just up the road in San Marcos are enjoying your visit, we, here in Schlitterbahn-land, are once again faced with the perpetual weather-vortex...everything seems to go right around us, leaving us dry. While, on most days, this is a welcome thing for our tourist business, we could REALLY REALLY use the rain. So, if you have a moment today, stop by for a visit and stay a while, okay?
I'll let you go - I know you have many places to go today, but I wanted to let you know you are VERY welcome to camp out here for a little while. Probably more welcome than anyone in The Valley will make you feel.
Holding my breath,
Judy

Praying you get at least a tad bit of rain from this! We need some badly at our house, too!
what is the temp in texas today? we're hitting close to 100 here in Mississippi..
I do not know what you are talking about! It is POURING at my house!
AAAAAHHHH!!!! Okay, Dolly, okay! Enough already!
(we had 2.5 inches of rain at our house in 45 minutes - ENOUGH!).
Thanks for stopping by, don't let the door hit you on the way out, blah, blah, blah.
You KNOW I'll be posting garden pics next week after all this rain!
Well, when it rains it pours!
(sorry)
Hey, you did ask for it!
Whoops- anonymous is me : )
The garden will grow like crazy in the next couple of days!
I loved the rain yesterday - and the day before. But, I don't want to rub it in, or anything :)
