FINALLY (yeah, sorry, another garden post)
For those of you who DON'T know, my parents have total green thumbs. They have all these vegetable garden pads on their property. They grow oodles of tomatoes and cukes, squash, watermelon, canteloupe, peppers, strawberries (apparently only for the critters, though, because they never get big enough to eat), peas, beans and on and on and on.
So, OF COURSE I had to give it a go in the gardening department this year. Thus all the gardening posts! I really didn't mean for this place to become the yard-blog, though, just so you know.
But, after yesterday's "harvest", I totally had to share!
Look! I picked enough green beans to cook! A first!
And, there's more today to pick...finally, somthing other than cucumbers and okra!

Funny how you've had cucumbers already and just a few beans. We've got tons of beans but no cukes yet. We found this awesome variety of cherry tomatoes and they are delicious, but just starting to come, so we get maybe 10 at a time. And the real tomatoes are still small and very green. And have I mentioned my parents also have green thumbs and I didn't really inherit that gene?
My Mom's got the greenest thumb when it comes to flowers and other non-fruit bearing plants, but never did the veggies. Dad doesn't do garden, Grandma, as far as I know didn't do garden. Good thing we have the husband, or there would be no garden. We've got beans too! No cukes yet.
