Flashback Friday - Charlie's Angels
The entertainment world has been rocked with the deaths of some pretty significant folks this week. Michael Jackson has pretty much had the bulk of the spotlight. His death was sudden, and while he literally became his own living freak show over the past several years, his earlier stuff defined a generation: mine. I grew up on "Thriller" and "Smooth Criminal", "Billie Jean" and even later stuff like "Black and White" and that cool song he sang with Lisa Pressley. He became a freak to me as the years went on, though, making choices I found odd and illogical. Nuff about MJ.
So, rather than jump on the MJ bandwagon, I'm opting to draw a little attention to one of my favorite shows from my growing-up years: "Charlie's Angels". I loved this show. Looking back, it seems kind of odd - this dude calling these gals randomly on the phone to go do police-ish stuff. But, I so wanted to be Jaclyn Smith...only to realize I was more like Kate Jackson. And now, Farrah Fawcett is gone. Another icon from my childhood. So, I found a clip of the first episode, first season - the opening 2 minutes.
RIP Farrah. You fought a hard, courageous battle these past two years and brought another side of cancer to the forefront...something to make us all think and possibly take better care of ourselves.

OH, the memories. I haven't seen that opening in over 30 years probably!
Classic television from the big hair days. RIP Farrah!
Last weekend tvland had reruns on. We were watching one and my husband commented how corny the dialogue seems now, but back in the day everyone watched the show and loved it.
On the MJ note I doubt the media or hangers on in his life will let him rest in peace anytime soon.

I love it! I remember Charlie's Angels, though at the time it originally aired, if I got to see it that meant that I was up past my bedtime! LOL But I've caught it in reruns lots! Happy FF!
