Mamas
It was a crazy week here - school started for Travis (yeah, RIGHT AFTER the birthday weekend), Scott was gone with work most of the time (he's working a 4/40 - 4 days, 10 hours a day - and we all need to adjust to that), and I had meetings plus parent conferences at the preschool.
Enter my Mom.
My mom came over Monday evening to help with the kids, namely Tyler. She took him to the children's museum, the park, for bike rides and played board games until her head was probably about to explode. She even made "picnics" and "camped out" in the living room with him. She was here when Travis got off the bus each day, especially on the day I had a conference until 4:30.
Yesterday, we said goodbye to Queen. And we're all just a little sad.
Thank you, Mom, for coming over and helping out. For getting up before 7 each day. For wearing Tyler out. For putting up with all four of us and our crazy schedules. Thank you.
I posted about my mom's annual trek to our area here (2006) and here (2007). Her departure is always a little sad around here.

What a mom! (and grandma)
I am totally jealous! My mom has no real interest in doing all that stuff with any of her grandchildren. :( At least my MIL loves to play with Autumn.
Yeah, but then what?
Your mom sounds like a lifesaver. You're lucky to have such a wonderful mother.
moms are the best, aren't they?
