Here's Mud In Your Eye...

The NASTIEST thing happened last night - we were on our way to San Antonio to run to Academy for new baseball gloves and accessories (isn't that what everyone does on Tuesday night?) and found ourselves in the middle of a DIRT STORM. Apparently, there was a dust storm in Northern Mexico that filled the atmosphere with dirt, so when it started raining yesterday evening, we had raindrops filled with DIRT. Here's what happened to my car, poor thing!

BEYOND NAS-TAY!!!!!

Time for a trip to the car was there Judy! We have been having some bad winds here too, but I used them to my advantage. I washed my car and let the wind do the drying, saved me two bucks!

I've heard of this, and remember some brown snow once, but geez! Your car! My kids would love that.

Eww! So glad we didn't have the dirty rain here in Houston. We just had really hard, fast rain - the kind that starts like someone turned on the faucet full-blast, then it suddenly stops, 2 minutes later! Totally weird :)

But, my car would probably beat your car in a contest of dirtiness! We have the lovely, ever popular yellow pollen thing going on here right now. Do you guys get to deal with that too? Anyway, I got my car washed at one of the fancy car wash places, drove around finishing a few errands, then drove home. When we got out of the car, the kids were grossed out because it was all yellow & dirty again - didn't look like it had been washed in weeks and it had been maybe an hour!

That's pretty much what my car looks like all winter long after driving through slushy snow, sand and salt. Car washes are almost pointless before May.

Hey Jennifer!
Nope, no pollen here, but we were at my parents' house last weekend when the pine broke out in full force. With that haenous wind to boot, it was gross, that's for sure. We just have cedar pollen, but it is just about over.

Whoops, I just checked the pollen counts for here - maybe not - seems to still be pretty high!
