Sleepovers
In a weak (VERY WEAK) moment, I conceded to a sleepover at our house last night...for two other boys from cub scouts. They're great kids, really, a little wild and typical 8/9 year olds, but overall good kids. They're well-mannered - cleared the table, yes ma'am'ed me, just polite polite polite. And loud. And hyper.
This wouldn't be so bad except I also volunteered to help a gal out at her garage sale around the corner this morning. I get to put my stuff in there, too, but I still have to be there and be ready to roll at 7 a.m.
And, we're having another sleepover this evening - Grandma and Aunt Lin. They'll be here for my nephew's party this afternoon and then stay over until tomorrow. The group was originally going to be staying for an extended visit, but their power was restored yesterday! YAY! I know they will all be eager to get back home and start the process of returning to "normal".
Anyway, that's us today. Just your usual crazy-beyond-normal Saturday!

I'm so glad my kids have, for the most part, outgrown the sleepover thing. I used to do that too. "Sure you can have a friend sleep over. And another. And sure, why not one more...."
Heavens, There is NO WAY I would have a sleep over at my house unless they are family. So far my kids don't really do sleep overs. Mainly as their mother does not encourage such things because I don't want to pay back parents with the same at my house.
