It Figures
It figures that I would leave my umbrella in the car while the rain pours down at gymnastics this morning (and we're parked at the END of the parking lot).
It figures that I would be the first person from the preschool to go and get my fingerprinting done for the FBI background check and have no clue where to go (nor did anyone else, but I figured it out!).
It figures that the fingerprinting place would need to take a picture of me on a day when: (1) I haven't showered, (2) I have on no makeup, and (3) I still have bed-head hair.
It figures that the rain would CONTINUE to pour down while we stopped at the church/ran to get lunch/stopped by the preschool to pick up a paper/ran to Hobby Lobby/dashed into Big Lots/got my fingerprinting done/pulled into the driveway - and stopped about seven minutes after we walked in the door.
It figures that a friend of Travis' would call for a playdate while we were out running around.
It figures that the rest of our week is crazy-busy, just when the kids are settling into some great play time together...if we're not at teacher workday or PTA stuff this week, we're cleaning the house for the birthday party this weekend (Travis is turning NINE!!!! AAAAAHHHH!!!!).

We had dental appointments for the kiddos this AM and when we left just around noon, it was starting to cloud up. We got home and within 5 minutes, it was pouring - good timing on my part :) When it stopped, I had plans to take Alex to get new tennis shoes - his are mysteriously too small 2 days before his homeschool enrichment program starts - aaahhh!!! - when it started to pour again. After an hour, I gave up on the idea of going anyplace. And, now that it has finally stopped, I'm too tired to leave :)
As my mom always tells me when I complain about getting rained on:
"You're not sweet enough to melt."
I feel for ya....I had to have my ID made for substituting and of course I had NO makeup and my hair was a mess. :) Fun fun fun
Sounds like you got a big dose of Murphy's Law today. Hope tomorrow is better.
