Works For Me Wednesday - Beating The Summer Blahs
Summer officially began at our house at 12:31 p.m. last Friday. YAY! yelled the kids. Yay. groaned the mom.
So, for Works for Me Wednesday, Shannon asked what we're doing to fight off the boredom this summer.
I'm not doing one thing - I'm doing FIFTY! AGAIN!
Last year, I sponsored my own page, Fun Times In 50 Days - an activity a (week)day for ten weeks. Some were short and easy, some were longer, but all of them were fun and we had a good time.
I'm doing it again this year - new activities (or at least re-vamped from last year) and this year, they are hosted by Wonderbrains!
So, get yourself over to the Wonderbrains blog and bookmark it. I'll be posting activities for each week as the summer progresses. Choose the activities you want to do - maybe they'll spark new ideas for you to try as well! Mix them up - you don't HAVE to do Day Seven's activity on the seventh day of your summer break, and if the weather doesn't work for the day we have sunny day stuff, you can bet we'll be trading it out for a different activity as well.
That's what is working for me today!
YAY!!!

I just bookmarked this! I actually prefer the one from last summer at first glance since I don't have to click away to read more. With a 3 year old and a special needs 19 month old, I need quick ideas, just enough to make each day a bit special. I'm a teacher, so our summer is precious! Thanks for the ideas!
Perfect! And just in time. My kids are older, but I find I can tweak these just a little to make them fun for everyone. And, I went grocery shopping last night and practically cleaned out the band-aid aisle. I'm ready!
